Campbell River: A new five storey, 93 room hotel and spa at the Golf and Country Club.

The Campbell River Golf and Country Club has submitted a development permit application for a five storey hotel and spa, and maintenance facility. The hotel is proposed to include 93 rooms.

Bamfield: 76-kilometre gravel road will undergo $30 million upgrade.

The 76-kilometre gravel road that connects Port Alberni and Bamfield will undergo a $30 million upgrade. Funding has officially been approved and three years of road work is expected to begin in June.

Tofino: District pursuing grant to build an $5.37 million emergency response facility.

Tofino is pursuing a grant to build a $5.37 million emergency response facility located outside the town’s tsunami inundation zone. The new facility would house the Tofino Volunteer Fire Department, Search and Rescue, and several other emergency related services.
