Courtenay: $15 million building permit issued for 118-unit apartment building. 

Construction for an 118-unit rental apartment building near the Superstore in Courtenay will be underway shortly. A $15 million building permit has been issued. The building will include a mix of micro, bachelor, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. 

Campbell River: Council adopts zoning bylay amendment for 79-unit apartment building. 

Campbell River has adopted the Zoning Amendment Bylaw for a five storey, 79-unit rental apartment building on the corner of Dogwood and 8th Avenue. Once complete, the building must remain a rental building for at least 10 years, and the rents must meet the Canadian Mortgage Housing Corporations for affordable housing in the region

qathet Regional District: Accepting proposals for processing of organics within qRD.

The qathet Regional District is requesting proposals for the for the planning, design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of an Organics Processing Facility within the qRD. The qRD is interested in proven technologies employed at full scale facilities capable of processing Organic Waste.
