In this week’s issue of Building Links we update the Coal Valley Estates project and a proposed 600 additional units, along with plans for the old Arrowview Hotel in Port Alberni, and a 2.4 acre residential development site for sale in Powell River. Coal Valley Estates is proposing to add 500 multi-units and 100 single-family lots to the west side of the village. 

Coal Valley Estates in Cumberland is proposing to add 500 multi-units and 100 single-family lots to the west side of the village. Geotechnical and environmental studies are underway and the owner is hopeful that construction can begin in early 2020.

Arrowview Hotel owner plans to build condo.  

The new owner of the Arrowview Hotel in Port Alberni plans to build a four-storey condo on the old hotel site.  

A 2.4 acre 100+ potential residential development near the Powell River hospital is for sale

A 2.4 acre 100+ potential residential development near the Powell River hospital and recreation complex is for sale. The property is currently zoned R1 with the city suggesting a high-density zoning of RM4 or RM5.
