The Village of Tahsis is making improvements to its south wastewater treatment plant, including a new activated sludge trough, new head end screener, new submersible RAS pumps, improvements to the building, and repairs to existing equipment.

Tahsis: Tender issued for Wastewater System Upgrades.

The village of Tahsis has issued a tender for Wastewater System Upgrades Phase 1. The project involves the construction of a sewer forcemain that will include a bridge crossing, gravel road extension and sanitary dump station. It also includes upgrades to the south treatment plant and to lift stations 2,3, 4 and 6. In early 2023, the project was anticipated to cost approximately $1.5 million. Comox: Advanced security notice for a $53 million infrastructure project at the 19 Wing. 

Defence Construction Canada has issued a notice for a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System Infrastructure project. This is an advance notice of a potential contract with anticipated security requirements for the opportunity to begin the sponsorship request process for security clearance. The project will include a Modified Design Build for the design and construction of a new purpose built Remotely Piloted Aircraft System – Infrastructure project with an Air Maintenance Detachment. The project will be to design and construct the detachment consisting of approximately 5,700 sq.m gross building area with approximately 11,000 sq.m of exterior spaces including apron and open parking on vacant land within a restricted area. The facility will house three Remotely Piloted Aircraft and include, but not limited to, workshops, offices, administrative spaces, meeting rooms, maintenance bay facilities, specialty aircraft maintenance labs, communication equipment and server rooms, building support spaces, common spaces, equipment storage and other associated areas. This contract is estimated to be $53 million with solicitation initiated in Fall 2024.

Campbell River: Heatherbrae Builders Co Ltd. is seeking Trade Contractors for the Strathcona Gardens Recreation Complex renovation, project is estimated to cost $73 million.

The Strathcona Regional District has engaged a Construction Manager, Heatherbrae Builders Co Ltd., to tender and construct (subject to SRD approval) the Aquatic addition & renovation to the Strathcona Gardens Recreation Complex. The Construction Manager is issuing a Request for Quotation to Trade Contractors. A trade site visit is scheduled for Wednesday March 6th at 11:00am to give trades the opportunity to view the site and interior spaces that are accessible.
