Comox: A $52.6-million residential care facility schedule for Council’s consideration this week. 

This week’s Comox Council meeting includes considering a development variance permit application for a new $52.6 million 156-unit residential care facility at the former St. Joseph’s General Hospital site. As proposed, the building is 3 storeys with a child care center, adult day program, and underground parking.

Campbell River: Zoning amendment bylaw approved for 5 storey, 60 unit apartment building. 

Campbell River Council has approved a zoning amendment bylaw for a five storey, 60 unit apartment building. The project is expected to include 35 two bedroom and 25 one bedroom units each with a balcony and five appliances.

Port Alberni: A development with 40 to 50 units of mixed housing proposed

LeFevre & Company has purchased property in Port Alberni with the hopes to create a housing development called Woodwards Village. Plans are under development with the potential for 40 to 50 units of mixed housing, including single family dwellings, townhouses, smaller cottage dwellings.
