VIREB June Market Update in Around Town

According to the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board’s (VIREB) June Statistics, 479 single-family (SF) homes sold on the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) System compared to 246 the previous month and 406 in June 2019.
Year-over-year sales of apartments and townhouses increased by three per cent each.

- Comox Valley: $627,920, +35% last June
- Campbell River: $499,030, -2% last June
- Port Alberni/West: $382,141, +68% last June
- Parksville/Qualicum: $637,948, +38% last Jan
Inventory of single-family homes in June declined by 23% (1598 to 1224), apartment listings increased by 22 per cent (353 to 431), and townhouse inventory dipped by three per cent (189 to 183).
