New Home Registry Report Around Town

According to the BC Housing New Home Registry statistics for Alberni-Clayoquot to North Island and Powell River, the number of newly registered homes and multi-units from January to December 2018 vs 2019 has increased by 23% (1210 vs 1585 units). Overall, a 31 unit decrease in single-family homes (sf) has been offset by 405 new multi-family units. Multi-family (mu) is described as any attached units, including Duplexes to Condominiums. 

New data from the BC Housing Research Centre indicates year-over-year the Alberni-Clayoquot to North Island and Powell River region saw a 23% increase in newly registered homes and multi-family units in 2019. Learn more at Building Links.

In 2019, total BC home registrations were down 4.5% from 2018. While registrations for multi-unit homes decreased by 0.1%, registrations for single-detached homes decreased by 18.4%.  For more details, visit  https://www.bchousing.org/research-centre.
