Bids values reported for general contractors for Water Treatment Building

The City of Campbell River received four bids in the second round of an invitation-only tender to qualifying general contractors and sub-contractors for the City of Campbell River’s new Water Treatment Building Located at the John Hart Lake. The bids ranged in value from $10,793,000 to $11,843,000. It is expected a recommendation of award will be before council November 21, and construction will start immediately following completion of the Raw Water Intake.

New 77 unit seniors housing project moving ahead in Powell River

The City of Powell River has been advised that partners Inclusion Powell River and Golden Life Management expect to make a rezoning application and a development application this month for a proposed 77-unit seniors housing next to Powell River General Hospital.

Site clearing underway for 24 unit townhouse project, located at the corner of Lerwick Road and Idiens Way in Courtenay

Benco Ventures BC Ltd. has applied for a development permit, which is expected to be issued soon. This project includes a 24 unit townhouse project, which will be located at the corner of Lewrick Road and Idiens Way in Courtenay. Site clearing is underway. This project is proposed to be built to accommodate two and three bedroom apartments with garages. Construction will begin in the spring of 2017.
