The City of Courtenay is inviting local developers and other related companies to a development industry meeting, between the City development services staff and those who work closely with the development services department, regulations and processes.

The City is hosting a meet and greet to introduce new staff and key changes in development application processes on July 20 at 12:30 pm.

The purpose of the meeting is to meet new Development Services staff and discuss key changes in development application processes and anticipated regulatory changes. Topics will include: Pre-application and referral processes, Concurrence of applications, Civil submission requirements, Changes to the delegation of minor Development Variance Permits to senior staff, Changes to public information meetings, and Bylaws being updated included Development Cost Charge, Subdivision and Development Servicing, Building and Zoning.
