Did you know that almost half of all underground infrastructure damages are avoidable? 

Fortis BC is reminding contractors that anytime you’re planning to break ground you must click or call BC 1 Call in advance to request the location of underground gas and other utility lines on the property.

FortisBC and BC 1 Call are reminding contractors and homeowners to call before they dig.

British Columbia has significantly reduced the number of natural gas line damages from 2018-19, seeing a 13 per cent decrease overall. While this is an improvement, some local communities have unfortunately seen an increase in natural gas line damages by both contractors and homeowners.
