Around Town: Canada-Britsh Columbia Job Grant Offers up to $10,000 per Employee
The Canada-British Columbia Job Grant is an innovative cost-sharing program that helps employers offset the cost of training for new or current employees by sharing the cost of employee training with B.C. employers.
Employers can receive up to two-thirds of the cost of training for current and future employees, to a maximum government contribution of $10,000 per grant. Employers must contribute the remaining one-third. For example, if an employer is seeking training valued at $1,500, the grant will provide $1,000 and the employer will contribute $500.
The Canada-British Columbia Job Grant is funded through the Canada-British Columbia Job Fund Agreement.
