At any given moment, more than $100 Billion in construction projects are underway in BC. Here on Vancouver Island, construction workers are putting the pedal to the metal to meet unprecedented market demand for new residential homes.

April is Construction and Skilled Trades month, celebrating the essential workers that create and maintain BC’s build environment.

This year, B.C.’s construction industry celebrates its fourth annual Construction and Skilled Trades Month with a multi-sector collaboration with the restaurant industry. The organizers are offering 100 grants totalling $37,500 to encourage construction employers to treat their crews to a free lunch from a local restaurant.
