Vancouver Island Health Authority to Host Community Information Meetings for North Island Hospitals Project

The Vancouver Island Health Authority (VIHA) is hosting community information meetings for the North Island Hospitals Project (NIHP) in Port Alice, Port Hardy, and Port McNeill. These meetings will focus on the scope and progress of the $600 million project, which includes a new $266 million, 95-bed Campbell River Hospital on the existing hospital site, and a new $334 million, 153-bed Comox Valley Hospital at a new site in Courtenay.

Public information sessions will be held in September, on the dates and at the locations listed below. These sessions are being held to outline how the NIHP will support your health care needs and those of your family and community when new state-of-the-art acute care facilities open in 2017. VIHA and North Island Hospitals Project staff will be on hand to answer questions and gather input.
