Rezoning application has been submitted for a 77-unit seniors housing project proposed for Powell River

Inclusion Powell River and Golden Life Management have submitted a rezoning application and a development application for a proposed 77-unit seniors housing next to Powell River General Hospital. The intention is to build the project on a 3.5-acre parcel located on Joyce Avenue between Evangel Church and the pole line. If the project proceeds, it is expected the facility will be open by the end of 2017. A decision on the application will likely be made in late January or early February of 2017.

Mixed Use residential housing proposed on 26 acre site on Campbell Street in Tofino

Woodsmere Holdings Corp. has purchased 26 acres of land at 825 Campbell Street in Tofino. The company has submitted a formal rezoning application to the District of Tofino for a Comprehensive Development Zone. The rezoning will include mixed use with a focus on residential rental housing.

Tender out this week for construction of water treatment plant and other associated works for Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation

Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation, near Gold River, BC invites tenders for the construction of a water treatment plant/ pump control building, well head improvements, decommissioning of the existing pump station and the construction of a steel bolted reservoir, including all related services and restoration. There will be an on-site (non-mandatory) tenderers’ meeting on Thursday, December 1, at 1:00 pm at the Tsaxana 18 Administration building.
