Providence Health Care has released tenders for a village for people with dementia. The proposed facility will be built at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox and willmodelled after successful facilities in the Netherlands. Comox: Tenders released for proposed 156 bed residential care home.

Several engineering and landscape architectural tenders have been released for Providence Living’s proposed 156 bed residential care dementia village in Comox. This project has received the approval of and a funding commitment from the Vancouver Island Health Authority. Municipal approval is expected to take 18 months

Courtenay: First reading given to 39 lot strata subdivision off Arden Road. 

Courtenay has given first reading to an Official Community Plan Amendment and Rezoning application for a 39 lot strata subdivision off of Arden Road. The proposal includes 20 single family lots, one duplex, two townhomes, and three duplexes on the 5.83 ha property.

Campbell River: Report looks at locations suitable for new developments. 

A Housing Growth Review report has reviewed six potential development expansion and infill locations for the City of Campbell River. The report provide a preliminary infrastructure analysis of each area. The City has development applications on file for lands within several of the six potential areas.
