Comox Valley: $7 million in odour control upgrades will be proceeding at the Water Pollution Control Centre.

The Comox Valley Sewage Commission has approved $7 million in odour control upgrades at the Comox Valley Water Pollution Control Centre. 

Powell River:  Development Cost Charges expected to increase from between 33 to 136%.

Powell River council has given second and third reading to an update of the Development Cost Charge (DCC) Bylaw. Under the proposed bylaw, DCC’s would increase by 33 to 39% for residential and 136% for commercial buildings.

Powell River: Staff has received a Development Permit application for Phase 1 of a new Aviation Industrial Park. 

The owners of a new Aviation Industrial Park in Power River have submitted a development permit application for a two-storey mixed-use building and a hangar for maintenance and storage of commuter planes.
