In this week’s issue of Building Links, the City of Campbell River has approved 240 rental units, there are plan to rebuild the Salmon Point pub, and an update on the Comox Strathcona Regional Organics Facility.

Campbell River: 240 rental units approved; building permits for 160 units and a development permit for 80 units.

The City of Campbell River has moved forward with approvals on three projects with a total of 240 rental units. $23.2 million in building permits have been issued for two buildings with 70 and 90 units and a development permit has been approved for an 80 unit 10-storey building.

Strathcona Regional: Plans are in the works to build a new Salmon Point Pub/Restaurant. 

Plans are in the works to replace the Salmon Point pub and restaurant near Saratoga Beach.  A development permit application has been submitted for a new 4,500 sq.ft. building. 

Comox Strathcona:  A Request for Qualifications is expected to be issued in December for the new $14 million Regional Organics Facility.
