This building is part of a larger development including the apartment, 6 Single Family Residential lots on Marine Drive, 30 smaller Single Family Residential lots in a new zone, and 28 townhouse Multi-Family units. The applicant is currently in the process of subdividing the property for the proposed uses and have applied for a Development Variance Permit for modifying the subdivision servicing standards for the new internal road.

The Department of National Defence has issued a Standing Offer for Roofing Repair or Replacement at 19 Wing Comox. Work under this Standing Offer covers the repairs/replacement to roofing on various buildings including labour, material and equipment. The budget for this opportunity is between $1 million to $5 million. This tender closes March 8.

Campbell River:  Construction at the Golf Course continues.

Construction of the Hotel and Spa continues with windows and balcony doors installed on the top four storeys with 93 suites. This phase of expansion at the Golf Course includes a hotel, spa, suites, restaurant and outdoor pool. The applicant had requested the City eliminate the requirements for underground utility wiring, however Council approved reducing the requirement from 100% to 50% subject to a cost estimate and cash-in-lieu contribution. The final phase of the new projects at the Golf Course will include a Conference Centre with 64 residential condo units. The proposed 5-storey building envisions a conference and banquet space on the ground floor that can accommodate up to 350 people.
