Comox: 720 units proposed in several 3 to 6 storey buildings.  

Highstreet Ventures is proposing another multi family development in Comox. They recently completed three buildings with 208 units. Community consultation is underway for a new development in Comox in the Hector and Aspen Road area. The Town of Comox requires that, prior to the submission of an application for development, the Applicant conduct a community consultation to obtain public feedback. The applicant is proposing a multi-family residential project consisting of 4 to 6-storey high buildings and 3-storey high townhouses that would result in approximately 720 units. The development would be constructed in several phases. Part of this development includes having both Hector Road and Aspen Road extended. Port Alberni:  $6.5M building permit issued for Huu-ay-aht First Nations Housing and Child Care Centre.

A building permit with a value of $6.5 million has been issued for this project. Huu-ay-aht First Nations and the Port Alberni Mother Centre Society have been working with BC Housing to develop a Housing and Child Care Centre. BC Housing purchased the 1.09 acre property in 2019 for $450,000 and the City gave third reading and final adoption to the Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaws Amendments in May 2021 and Rezoning in June 2021. The new two storey building will provide 16 residential units, 24 childcare spaces for children residing at the centre, administration offices and meeting rooms.

CFB Comox: $6M accomodation building proposed for 19 Wing.

Defence Construction Canada has issued a request for proposals for Architectural and Engineering Consultant Services for the design of a new accommodation building at 19 Wing CFB Comox. The estimated construction cost of this project is $6 million.
