Powell River: Hiring and construction is underway for the new $76 million Consolidated Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Powell River’s new $76 million Consolidated Wastewater Treatment Plant is now under construction. The contractor is hiring tradespeople including carpenters, pipefitters, electricians, general labourers and equipment operators. The tender for the Conveyance is expected to be awarded in July.
Campbell River: A new hotel and spa project at the Golf and Country Club has been approved.
A development permit for a new hotel and spa for the Campbell River Golf and Country Club has been approved. The project includes a five-storey hotel and spa, a separate building for an indoor pool, and three maintenance buildings.
Tofino: The second apartment building in a 72 affordable rental project in Tofino has recieved $3.8 million in funding.
The second apartment building in a 72 unit affordable rental project in Tofino has received $3.8 million in funding. Construction on the first building is expected to begin in the Fall and take 18 months to complete.
