According to the BC Housing New Home Registry statistics for Alberni-Clayoquot to North Island and Powell River, the number of newly registered homes and multi-units from January to August 2020 vs 2019 has decreased by 14% (836 vs 875 units).

BC Housing has released its New Homes Registry Report for August 2020, and new single family and multi-family home registries have decreased by 14%. Learn more at Building Links

Overall, 373 single-family homes (sf) were registered this year compared to 433 in 2019, and 463 multi-family units were registered this year compared to 442 last year. Multi-family (mf) is described as any attached units, including Duplexes to Condominiums.
