It was announced in November that the Salvation Army had received $425,000 in funding from the BC Housing Investment in Affordable Housing Renovation Fund to improve its emergency shelter Pidcock House. An architect was been hired to assess the condition of the building and recommend renovations and repairs. It is expected work will include replacing windows, checking for asbestos, and other improvements. Any funds left over from the renovations will be used to improve the use of space in the building.
