First Annual Capital Projects Forum May 13 in Nanaimo
The Construction Council of Vancouver Island continues to build a professional construction community on Vancouver Island. CCVI will host the first annual Capital Project Forum on Wednesday, May 13 from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre in Nanaimo.
The forum’s focus is on improved collaboration between owners and the construction community, and will feature Ken Peacock as the keynote speaker. Peacock is Chief Economist and Vice-President of the BC Business Council. He will discuss infrastructure policy and financing. In addition, there will be plenary sessions and workshops covering topics such as securing the optimal procurement option, best value vs. low bid, and lessons learned presented by the office of the Auditor General for Local Government.
Anyone interested about capital assets management and delivery on Vancouver Island – especially local government, post-secondary, school districts, health and transportation authorities, engineers, architects and contractors – will find the Capital Project Forum an ideal opportunity to connect and collaborate with others in the construction community. This initiative is also supported by the Vancouver Island Construction Association.
Registration includes breakfast, lunch, nutritional breaks, and hosted after-party for attendees. Click here to register, or for more information.
