City of Campbell River awards tender for water supply main construction

The City of Campbell River has awarded the tender for the water supply main construction to Upland Contracting Ltd. This marks Phase I of this project. Construction is expected to begin in March of 2015.

Design of east Courtenay fire hall awarded to Johnston Davidson Architects

The City of Courtenay has awarded the East Courtenay Fire Hall design project to Johnston Davidson Architects. The City will be in contact with the successful proponent shortly to discuss a contract which will be subject to approval in the upcoming capital year.

CVRD awards tender for HMCS Quadra forcemain replacement project

The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) has awarded a contract to McElhanney Consulting Services for the design and construction management services for the HMCS Quadra forcemain replacement project at Goose Spit. The DND’s Capital Assistance Program, once approved, would transfer the infrastructure to the CVRD and provide funding for the upgrade of the sewer force main. The CVRD would provide all the project’s engineering and construction management. Upon completion of the project, the CVRD would be the owner of the force main and responsible for all future operation, maintenance and capital replacement costs.
