A 27 unit affordable housing project is being proposed for Campbell River

Campbell River city council gave First and Second Reading to a zoning bylaw amendment to rezone 531 9th Avenue from RM-3 to RM-4. A public hearing will be held September 11. Campbell River Head Injury Society is proposing to redevelop 531 9th Avenue for the purposes of a 27 unit apartment building to be designated as affordable housing. This proposed project is the city’s first affordable housing density bonus application.

City of Courtenay hoping to present final draft for Courtenay’s Subdivision and Control Bylaw in the Fall of 2017

Final corrections for a proposed update to the City of Courtenay’s Subdivision and Control Bylaw are underway, and staff expects the document to be before council for consideration this Fall. This Subdivision Control Bylaw regulates the subdivision of lands, establishes standard of services for new subdivisions within the City of Courtenay.
