New 24 town house unit project proposed by Benco Ventures for Courtenay 

Benco Ventures is proposing to build 24 townhouses on the corner of Idiens & Lerwick in Courtenay. The development permit application has been submitted to the City of Courtenay and is under review by planning and engineering staff.

Contract awarded for $2.1 million for Queen’s Ditch Draining project to Knappet Industries in Comox 

Defence Construction Canada has awarded the tender for Queen’s Ditch Infrastructure Improvements project in Comox to low bidder Knappett Industries at a tendered price of $2,134,920.

Construction of Campbell River Hospice completed

Construction of the Campbell River Hospice located at 440 Evergreen Road is now complete, and administrative services for the Campbell River Hospice Society will be moving into the the new office this week. Brett Giese of Crown Pacific Developments donated his time as the project manager for this project. Highland Engineering and HSI Engineering have donated their services for the civil and structural engineering. D’Arcy Frankland donated her time as the primary contact for the Hospice House Build Team.
