North Island College Seeks Proposals for Reconfiguration of Campbell River Campus

North Island College is seeking proposals from qualified firms for a Prime Consultant for architectural and engineering services for the consolidation and reconfiguration of the Campbell River Campus. The budget for this project us between $10 and $13 million, which includes all construction costs and additional fees and costs. Village of Cumberland Expects Tenders for Cumberland and Bevan Road Upgrades in July

The Village of Cumberland is waiting for final tender documents for the upgrade of Cumberland and Bevan Roads, and expects to issue tenders sometime in July. Cumberland Village council approved $2.1 million in upgrades for the Bevan Road corridor in the 2015 municipal budget. This is a priority project for the Village, and will see the road resurfaced between Wellington and the landfill entrance.

Four Bids Received for Quadra Island Submarine Cable Replacement Project

BC Hydro and Power Authority has received four bids to execute the civil work required to construct the shore landing sites for the Quadra Island Submarine Cable Replacement project. The contractor will provide all labour, materials and equipment necessary for the complete performance of the work. Bidders are Upland Contracting Ltd., Wacor Holdings Ltd., Northern Civil Energy Inc., and Dixon Networks Corp.
