Organics Compost Facility Under Budget Consideration by City of Campbell River

In the fall of 2014, the City of Campbell River sought proposals from qualified companies in the private sector for a public private partnership to develop and operate an organic waste and biosolids processing facility in Campbell River. The City is interested in proven technologies employed at full scale facilities capable of processing both organic waste and biosolids. This project is expected to go before city council in late February for budget consideration. City staff hope they will have direction with how to proceed by March.
