Building Permit Worth $4.2 M Issued for Comox Duplexes

A building permit has been issued with a value of $4.2 million for 11 duplexes totaling 22 units at 700 Lancaster Way in Comox. This is a long-term, phased project under construction since 2011. Phases I to IV are complete and occupied, while Phase V and VI remain under construction.

CVRD Seeks Qualified Contractors for Curling Centre Project

The Comox Valley Regional District invites tenders from qualified General Contractors to provide all necessary labour, equipment, materials and tools for the renovation of the Comox Valley Curling Centre. Scope of Work includes seismic upgrades, new exterior cladding, new arena floor slab, new mechanical, electrical and a new refrigeration system. Tender closes February 19.

Healthway Natural Foods Starts Construction in Campbell River

Healthyway Natural Foods Market in Campbell River has been issued a building permit with a value of $675,000 for the development of a new food store with a yoga studio and ancillary offices. This project will extend and renovate the existing building at 1121 Cedar Street which previously accommodated a restaurant know as Uptown Willie’s. Work will include a two-storey addition to the existing building along with full refinishing on all sides. Construction is underway.
