Highstreet Ventures has submitted a building permit application for its proposed 71-unit residential building on Riverside Lane in Courtenay, along the Courtenay River.

Building application submitted for Riverstone in Courtenay

A building permit application for the 71-unit residential building known as Riverstone in Courtenay has been submitted and the applicant is hopeful that the application will receive approval very soon. Once the building permit has been issued, construction is expected to begin immediately.

City of Campbell River issues three new tenders

The City of Campbell River has issued new tenders for the following projects: Willis Road Storm and Pedestrian Upgrades (this tender closes August 29); Cathodic Protection Services (this tender closes August 24); and Tidemark Theatre and Library painting (this tender closes September 1). Cumberland purchases land for new fire hall

In June 2016, a 2.5 acre parcel was purchased at 4382 Cumberland Road for a new fire hall to be built in Cumberland. Approximately $1.5 million is budgeted for fire hall construction. Staff are working to move the project forward.
