A building permit application has been made to the City of Courtenay for a multi-family project that is planned for this property. A development permit application has received approval from council. The design for this project has been completed and includes 32 multi-family units composed of townhouses, studios, duplexes and condominiums

Crown Pacific Development Corp. has submitted a rezoning application to downzone a two-acre piece of property inside of the gated community, Newport Estates from RM3 to RM2 to allow for the development of 20 patio homes. A neighbourhood meeting has been held and the application is expected to be presented to council in August.

Tom Dishlevoy, Architect is proceeding a design for a new 20,000 sq. ft. building for the Toyota Dealership. Ketza Pacific Construction is the project manager. A development permit application is expected to be submitted in the fall of 2014, with a construction start date anticipated in the winter of 2014.
