North Island College Campbell River Campus Awards Tender for Prime Consultant

North Island College has awarded the tender for a Prime Consultant for architectural and engineering services for the consolidation and re-configuration of the Campbell River Campus to Chernoff Thompson Architects. The budget for the business case study has been approved, and further budgets will have to be finalized and approved before this $10 – $13 million project will proceed.

City of Port Alberni Seeks Business Partner for Community Energy System

This City of Port Alberni has issued a tender seeking a long-term business partner to jointly develop a biomass-powered Community Energy System and has received a commitment of $1.5 million in capital funding from the Gas Tax Innovation Fund for the the project. The City expects that the first phase of the Port Alberni Community Energy System will require a capital investment of $6 – $10 million, depending on factors such as the number of buildings connected, the location of the Energy Centre, the routing of distribution piping, and so on. Defence Construction Canada Awards Tender for Upgrade to Kitchens, Bathrooms

Defense Construction Canada has awarded the tender for an Upgrade to Kitchens and Bathrooms to Saywell Developments Ltd. The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the supply of labour, material, supervision and equipment necessary to carry out kitchen and bathroom renovations, as specified, within the residential housing units. The estimated cost for this project is $560,000.
