Two tenders have been issued this week for replacement of boiler plants for schools in the Comox Valley, including Ecole Robb Road in Comox.

Tender for boiler replacement at Ecole Robb Road in Comox

Two tenders have been issued this week for replacement of boiler plants for schools in the Comox Valley. School District #71 invites tenders for the replacement of the boiler plant at Ecole Robb Road School in Comox. The Project consists of replacement of existing atmospheric boiler plant with new high efficiency condensing boiler plant. Mandatory site visit for all Contractors and interested sub- trades will be conducted at 10:30 am on Friday, April 28 at Ecole Robb Road Elementary School main entrance.

Tender for boiler replacement at Courtenay Elementary

School District #71 invites tenders for the replacement of the boiler plant at Courtenay Elementary School. The Project consists of replacement of existing atmospheric boiler plant with new high efficiency condensing boiler plant. Mandatory site visit for all Contractors and interested sub-trades will be conducted at 9:00 am on Friday, April 28, assembly at Courtenay Elementary School main entrance. Both tenders close on May 10.

Port Alberni to finalize liquid waste management plan soon

The City of Port Alberni expects to finalize the second phase of its Liquid Waste Management Plan (LWMP) very soon, and then submit to the Ministry of Environment for final approval which will pave the way for implementation and construction of the Lagoon Facility, the first major component of the new LWMP. The city expects construction of the lagoon to begin in 2017. The total cost for the upgrade of the sewage treatment facility is estimated at $27.7 million.
