Comox Official Community Plan Focus Group in Around Town
The Town of Comox is hosting the first of three upcoming Focus Group sessions as part of the Town’s Official Community Plan (OCP) update. The sessions are intended to gather feedback on a number of policy areas that comprise the OCP.
Topics will include: Draft land use map, Growth management goals and objectives, Housing goals and objectives, Housing stock and the missing middle, Meeting the 20-year housing need, Future of single-family development in Comox, and Business Park development.
The 2025 OCP update aims to align the OCP with the community’s vision for Comox over the next 20 years, and address housing needs as per updated provincial legislation.
The in-person workshop will be held April 2, 8 to 10 am, register at bit.ly/cmxapril2. The virtual workshop will be held April 1, 7:30 to 9 pm, register at bit.ly/cmxapril1.
The format for each workshop is the same: an overview presentation will introduce the OCP Update process and the goals for the session. Staff will then seek public guidance through facilitated discussions focused on the included topics.
