Building Links 2013, Issue #21

May 30, 2013

Editor’s Note:
3L Developments (3L) owns 400 acres of property located just east of the Inland Island Highway, at the confluence of the Puntledge and Browns Rivers and they have submitted an application to the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) for an amendment to the Regional Growth Strategy Plan. This application proposes to build mostly single family homes (approximately 700 homes) on 50% of the property, and it would see 50% of the property donated to the CVRD for parkland.

The Aboriginal Housing Management Society is seeking Request for Proposals for general contractors to quote on the renewal of existing roofing, kitchens and bathrooms at the 30 unit facility. The property consists of 30 occupied family units in six buildings, and one amenity room. There is a mandatory site meeting today, Wednesday, May 29th at 11am at Unit 2, 1808 Island Highway.
