A development permit has been approved for a 39 unit four-storey building to be located at 808 South Island Highway in Campbell River. The building permit application is expected to be submitted within the week for the new project. The owner is seeking prices on all sub-trades for this project within the next few weeks. The Town of Comox has awarded the contract for the architectural design services for the Comox Municipal Works Yard upgrade project to Vic Davies Architect. Design drawings are underway and they are expected to be completed in the Fall of 2013.

Perfect your Pitch – Give your business a competitive advantage at the upcoming event on Thursday, May 16 from 8:30 to 9:30 am at the Best Western, Westerly Hotel in Courtenay . Each registrant will have only 4 minutes to present their products and/or services at the upcoming Industry Speed Dating events being held in both Courtenay and Campbell River. This workshop provides tips and best practices for presenting your business to the three consortiums bidding on the two new state-of-the-art hospitals. Industry Speed Dating Events -The Industry Speed Dating Events will provide an opportunity for businesses to interact with each of the three consortiums bidding on the new hospitals project and to promote their companies, services and experience. There is no fee and no requirement that you be based in the Comox Valley or Campbell River. Participants must pre-register in order to attend this event.
