The District of Powell River is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced and construction managers to complete upgrades to the Savary Island main fire hall. The building requires upgrades to bring into greater compliance with the BC Building Code. The District of Powell River, which is responsible for the building, would like many of the upgrades completed by June 28, 2013. The tender closes Thursday, April 25 at 2 p.m. See our tender section for more information.
A Request for Quotations (RFQ) is expected to be released by the end of May for a design/build proposal for the building of a new suspension bridge, two viewing platforms and connecting trails within Elk Falls Park. This project will be a partnership between BC Hydro, BC Parks and the Rotary Club of Campbell River. The total cost of this project is approximately $500,000. The Rotary Club will be the lead on this project and hope to have an RFQ released by the end of May.
