Rock breaking and shear-line drilling is being used to create a trench for the low-level outlet that will connect the downstream side of the intake to the river and provide water flow down Elk Falls Canyon.

About 50% of the Phase 1 structural concrete work in the powerhouse is complete. In September, a peak of about 420 people were working on the project in Campbell River. Job totals will now slowly diminish to completion. For more information and to see some onsite pictures, visit this link.
