Drilling, blasting and excavation for construction of the tailrace will continue through the month of October. The cofferdam is expected to be complete in December. Retaining walls will then be built and the area dewatered. Powerhouse vertical excavation is expected to be complete in March and concrete work will begin in April of next year.

Tree removal is almost complete for the construction access road and surge tank work area. Overburden will be removed in October to access the subgrade below and allow for continued construction and preparation for the surge tank.
