Around Town: BC Building Codes and Webinar

December 13, 2018

The new BC Building Codes including Fire and Plumbing came into effective December 10.

All building permits received in the City of Campbell River before December 10 will be assessed under the previous requirements; anything onward will be under the revised code. It’s expected that all municipalities are following these same guidelines. If you have a current building permit, check with your municipality for updates.

The new BC Building Codes including Fire and Plumbing came into effective December 10, and the City of Campbell River will assess new permits under that code.

Among other revisions, the Building Code also includes changes related to the BC Energy Step Code such as enabling airtightness compliance and creating new targets for offices and hotel.
