The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) has awarded the tender for the Comox Valley Curling Club renovation to Bruce Carscadden Architect, in association with Thomas Dishlevoy Architecture Ltd., to provide engineering and contract management/construction oversight services for the CVRD curling centre renovation project. Construction is scheduled to begin in late spring 2015. The total project budget, which includes engineering and construction contracts, is $2 million.

An Integrated Stormwater Management Plan is being developed for North East Comox. The purpose of the plan is to address water implications for downslope agricultural development, Lazo Marsh and Hilton Springs recharge, and Queen’s Ditch capacity limitations and fish habitat. A Public Information Meeting was held at Highland School on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 to review the results of Phase 2 research and analysis. Phase 2 of the report develops options to mitigate runoff from development, explores the best management practices available, and discusses administrative and legal options.

The Contract for the installation of BC Hydro supplied Intake Operating Gate, and the supply and installation of other associated works at the Ladore Dam near Campbell River has been awarded to Brymark Installations Group Inc.
