Noort Developments Expanding Valley Storage Facility

Noort Developments will be moving ahead to build a 10,000 sq. ft. building at 1671 Ryan Road in Courtenay. They also plan to build a mini storage facility that will be 20,000 sq. ft. in size. These new mini storage units will be built as an expansion to the existing Valley Storage facility. A development permit has been approved, pending the receipt of a landscaping bond. A building permit application is expected to be made soon and construction is scheduled to begin in November. The applicant will be self-contracting on this project.

Permit Issued to Expand Evergreen Seniors Centre

A building permit has been issued in the amount of $2.5 million for Phase III of the expansion to Evergreen Seniors Centre in Campbell River; this was approved in June. The applicant has completed the addition of a courtyard to the existing building and plans to start construction on a 20,000 sq. ft. expansion which will add more complex and independent beds to the seniors’ home.

Cumberland Awards Tender for Design of Cumberland and Bevan Roads

The Village of Cumberland has awarded the tender for a ‘conceptual/functional’ design and ‘detailed’ design of Cumberland Road and Bevan Road to McElhanney Consulting.
