Defence Construction Canada Issues RFI for Housing Units

Defence Construction Canada (DCC) has issued an Request for Information for design-build/modular/pre-fabricated low-rise, single use residential apartments at 19 Wing Comox. DCC is seeking input from industry to assess the availability of the marketplace and to determine the optimum service delivery model to meet the requirements of Canadian Forces Housing Agency (CFHA).

Units will be constructed within the existing area of the Residential Housing Site (RHS) at each location, on existing municipal servicing infrastructure. General project design requirements are as follows:

• All units will be two (2) bedroom, one (1) bathroom units;
• There will be one (1) storage locker per unit
• There will be two (2) surface parking spaces per unit per building, plus 0.25 per unit spaces for visitor parking (total of 2.25 spaces per unit per building)
• All construction to conform to Part 9 of the current National Building Code of Canada

This is not a bid solicitation. This RFI will not result in the award of any contract, or be considered as a pre-qualification of a company to bid on future procurements related to the services being investigated.
