Environmental consulting firm Core6 has opened a new office in the Comox Valley. The Vancouver-based company’s decision to expand their offices to the mid-Island reflect the growing need for environmental consulting services in the region, and a desire to be more responsive to their client needs.

Core6 offers a suite of environmental consulting services for a variety of sectors, including residential and commercial development, resource industries, real estate, government, First Nations, and more. Real property services include a suite of contaminated sites services including Phase 1 and 2 environmental site assessments, detailed site investigations, remediation plan development, cost estimating and implementation and risk assessments. Core6 hydrogeologists also design groundwater systems for a variety of building, including geoexchange. Core6 provides technical advice and the much needed regulatory and strategic advice for projects. The company is also experienced in bringing together top-notch teams to expand their services and create the best solutions for their clients.

Kathy Poetker, Senior Environmental Consultant and resident of the Comox Valley since 2007, heads the new office. She has over 15 years’ experience managing and performing environmental site assessments, and conducting environmental audits for a wide variety of sites.
