Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North has begun a multi-year build project at 477 Hilchey Road and they are in need of volunteers to provide safe and affordable housing for 11 Campbell River families. Volunteering on a Habitat build not only gives you the opportunity to help local families, but the chance to connect with other people, make new friends, and learn new skills. You can volunteer one day only, or on an ongoing basis.

Chris Kutyn of Kutyn Property Services Ltd. has written a brief article comparing the prices in the Comox Valley to those in Campbell River. As of June 1, 2017 the average lot price in the Comox Valley is $214,801, compared to the price of $141,358 for Campbell River.  (more…)

Around Town: Vancouver Island Real Estate Board May 2017 Statistics

In May 2017, the benchmark price of a single-family home in the Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB) area rose to $431,200, up 18 per cent from one year ago. Prices increased in every zone, ranging from 15 per cent in Duncan to 21 per cent in Nanaimo. (more…)
