Around Town: Public Open House South Sewer Project March 23

Planning for a community wastewater system to service Union Bay and Royston has reached an important stage. The community is invited to learn more and share their comments about important project updates.

An open house for Royston/Union Bay residents will provide updated sewer plans and cost estimates for the South Sewer Project.

The meeting will include:

  • An update on the amended project size and estimated cost with public private partnership (P3)
  • An overview of estimated costs and reduced connection fee for residents
  • Shortlist of sites for the wastewater treatment plan and community pump stations
  • Potential referendum vote

The latest information will be shared about new reduced cost estimates, revised partnerships and proposed plans for a June referendum.

Time: 4:00-7:00 p.m., staff presentation at 5:00 p.m.
