Around Town: Public Information Session on North East Comox Integrated Stormwater Management Plan February 24

An Integrated Stormwater Management Plan is being developed for North East Comox, and residents are invited to attend a public information session on February 24, 2015 at Highland Secondary School.

The Lazo Marsh is an important wetland in the Comox Valley, and an environmentally sensitive area.

The Lazo Marsh is an important wetland in the Comox Valley. The North East Comox Integrated Stormwater Management Plan is intended to minimize the impact of rainwater on this and other environmentally sensitive areas in Comox.

The purpose of the Plan is to develop a rainwater management strategy that prevents impact to existing agricultural development, the Lazo Marsh and Hilton Springs, the Queen’s Ditch and other sensitive environmental areas.

The public information session is an opportunity for residents to review the results of research and analysis to date.

When: Tuesday, February 24, 2015, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Location: Highland Secondary School – Multi-Purpose Room (750 Pritchard Road, Comox, BC)
