A workshop is being held in Campbell River on March 4th to share information about Section 9.36 of the BC Building Code, EnerGuide & working with a Certified Energy Advisor and an overview of ENERGY STAR for New Homes. Also find out about incentives being offered by FortisBC and BC Hydro and ENERGY STAR® for New Homes.

Murray Frank will be speaking in Campbell River on Friday March 4, 2016 about section 9.36 of the BC Building Code, EnerGuide & working with a Certified Energy Advisor

Attendees will be eligible for three (3) Continuing Professional Development credits through the Homeowner Protection Office, and four (4) credits from the Building Officials’ Association of BC.

Presenters include:

Murray Frank – Introduction and discussion about 9.36 energy provisions. A focus on compliance options including prescriptive vs. performance paths. Additional discussion on working with Certified Energy Advisors for the performance path and the potential advantages in design and construction. Expanded discussion about 9.36 and a review of ENERGY STAR for New Homes.

Cristi Sacht, Elemental Energy Advisors – Information on how Certified Energy Advisors can help builders. City of Campbell River – Power Down Campbell River – home energy retrofits.
