UDI Capital Region, Victoria Residential Builders Association and Vancouver Island Construction Association (VICA) are pleased to sponsor the Fortis BC Energy Expo and Symposium, including a three hour discussion about changes to the BC Building Code on  October 29 from 7:30 am to 10:30 am.

The agenda includes topics such as:

  • Changes to the BC Building Code and HVAC requirements
  • Key findings from an energy study on a new single family residential development with heating and cooling costs
  • How to reduce construction costs and gain a competitive edge

Guest speakers include Zachary May with the Building and Safety Standards Branch, Andrew Pap-Salmon with RDH Building Engineering Ltd. and Spencer Evans, Energy Solutions Manager with FortisBC. A tradeshow will feature manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of industry-related products and services.
