The City of Campbell River has renewed is funding program offering downtown businesses grants to make storefront improvements within the revitalization area.

The purpose of the Downtown Façade Improvement Program is to help business owners make storefront improvements a reality, and create a more welcoming place to shop and visit. Three businesses received grants in 2014. Improvements included significant changes to windows and a building entrance, exterior tiling, and a significant façade enhancement with new siding, lighting, signage, and redesign of an awning.

The City will be holding a public information meeting on June 25 at 7 pm at the Enterprise Centre at 900 Alder Street to provide detailed information on the grant program. There will also be the opportunity to discuss project eligibility.  The deadline for applications is July 31, and business owners must contact the City prior to submitting an application to set up a pre-application meeting.
